Collection Strengths: Exhibition 2011: Radical Shifts

Catalog and selected materials from Radical Shifts: Reshaping the Interior at Parsons, a 2011 exhibition curated by Parsons School of Design graduate students. The exhibition explored the forces behind the changes in the 1950s and '60s that led Parsons to revamp its storied, long-running Interior Design program--with its focus on imparting "taste" and the ability to make impeccable reproductions of historical rooms for a high-end clientele--into a broader Environmental Design program that encouraged experimentation and socially-engaged design practice.
