Aronson, chairman of the Parsons Board of Governors and trustee at the New School for Social Research, opens the event. Jonathan F. Fanton, president of the New School for Social Research, presents the Parsons Award to Miller and announces the establishment of the Philip B. Miller Scholarship Fund. Frank Rizzo, chair of the Fashion Design Department, introduces the video, "Parsons: 100 Years of American Design Presented by Saks Fifth Avenue." This video recognizes the connection between Saks Fifth Avenue and Parsons. The runway show follows. Footage ends midway through this show. Rizzo is the announcer.
