Description
The final segment of a two-part video of Parsons School of Design annual fashion show at the New York Marriott Marquis. Footage begins midway through the runway show. Designer Donald Brooks introduces the annual costume design showcase. The theme for this year's showcase theme is any historical period between 1940 and 400 BCE. Dean of Parsons, Charles Olton, presents Alfredo Cabrera the Student Designer of the Year Award. Frank Rizzo is recognized by Olton and New School President Jonathan Fanton for his service to Parsons. The year 1992 marked Rizzo's 25th year at Parsons and 10th anniversary as chair of the Fashion Design Department. Rizzo presents Gold Thimble Awards.
