The final segment of the Parsons School of Design annual fashion show at the New York Marriott Marquis. The video begins midway through the runway show. Designer Donald Brooks presents the annual costume design showcase. The theme for this year's showcase is "Beauties and the Beast 1925," which combines fashions inspired by the Ziegfeld showgirls with students' favorite animals. Fashion editor Edith Raymond Locke introduces an AIDS memorial quilt students made from Parsons students' fabric scraps. The quilt was auctioned, with proceeds to be donated to the People With Aids Coalition (PWAC). The Gold Thimble Awards are announced. Robert Best receives Student Designer of the Year. Frank Rizzo, chair of the Fashion Design Department, is recognized by Theresa Chiappetta, faculty at Parsons.
