The first segment of a two-part video of the Parsons School of Design annual fashion show for 1983. The event honors Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, publisher of the New York Times . Marvin S. Traub, chairman of Bloomingdale's, presents the Parsons Award to Sulzberger. Fashion editor Edith Raymond Locke announces the runway show. This is the first annual show with Frank Rizzo as dean of the Fashion Design Department. Footage ends midway through the show.
