Description
Short promotional fim for the Fashion Design Department at Parsons School of Design. The film includes classrooms, studio scenes, shots of the Parsons building at 410 East 54th Street, and footage of the Garment District. Commentary is provided by Ann Keagy, chairman of the Fashion Design Department, Bill Blass, and others. Critics Norman Norell and Rudi Gernreich examine student work. Michaele Vollbracht, a student at Parsons, recieves feedback from Norell on a dress (06:34). Vollbracht is presented an award for the dress (10:04). Kay Unger is featured several times. Student Donna Karan (née Faske) appears (02:38). The film includes the annual senior fashion show at the Plaza Hotel (08:25).
