Planet 234 is a mobile game that uses the shift of perspective between 2D and 3D as mechanism to show the fluid, intertwined relationship of time and dimensional space. Planet 234 is based on the theory of relativity and the concept of spacetime. Through iterative development and testing, the final prototype combines features of puzzle and platform games. It provides an immersive experience as the player moves back and forth shifting perspectives between 2D and 3D. Content is based on the sensation of time passing. Time is objective, but the experience of time is subjective and related to individual perspective. Time can be seen as the fourth dimension. So that’s why the game is called planet 234 - a planet that owns the features of multiple dimensions: 2D, 3D and 4D - time.
