Children can effortlessly acquire languages, yet young Korean American children often do not have the opportunity to learn to read Korean.

“NoriTime”, is a screen based CD Rom collection of interactive educational software system. This consists of reward-based activities such as cooking, to teach Korean, Hangul, through words, animated pictures, and sounds; transportation to familiarize the letter forms; building blocks to learn complex Hangul syllable structures; and a xylophone to learn Hangul sound patterns.

NoriTime will hopefully encourage 4 to 6 year old Korean preschoolers who live in the US to learn and retain the value of their parents’ language, while learning English.
