Drawing is signed, "S. [Shirley] Brower," the name under which Sherl Nero attended Parsons School of Design. A fabric swatch is stapled to the upper right corner. This design is featured in the program for the 1961 annual Parsons School of Design student fashion show in the "Simplicity of Design" collection. The inscription on the verso, "sold," indicates someone purchased the coat from Nero after the fashion show.
