This audio recording is of one of a series of sessions held at The New School, entitled: "American Cities: Law, Survival and the Administration of Justice." This recording contains the question and answer period of the October 27, 1971 event on correction and rehabilitation. Issues raised in the questions and answers are: solving the problem of recidivism, implementing rehabilitation programs, job training and strategies for securing employment for inmates, the status of detainees awaiting trial, prison overcrowding, the problem of obtaining federal funding, the conditions of the prison at Dannemora, New York, and manpower requirements for rehabilitation programs.
