Dean Clara Mayer introduces New School for Social Research Board of Trustees Vice Chairman Robert MacIver, who begins speaking at 2:55. Dr. MacIver discusses wisdom in terms of his concept of a "higher morality," how to grow older and the nature of time, how to be dissatisfied, and how to deal with intolerance. The second part of the recording consists of questions from the audience and Dr. MacIver's answers, the topics of which include: juvenile delinquency, family relationships, and living happily.
