This audio recording is of the fourth of a special lecture series given at The New School exploring the life experiences of important individuals and their understanding of those experiences. Dean Clara Mayer introduces Bishop G. Bromley Oxnam of the Methodist Episcopal Church, who speaks at 1:46 on social justice and enumerates his principles for social living, including: the importance of democracy, the supremacy of the common good, the solidarity of the human family, equal rights, and cooperation over competition. Bishop Oxnam concludes at 1:42 of the second part of the recording, and opens the floor to questions, the topics of which include: the existence of God and sin, and minority representation in the Methodist Church.
