Dean Clara Mayer introduces Dr. Richard Schüller, a retired New School for Social Research economics professor, who speaks starting at 1:38, on his career as a diplomat and economic negotiator for the Austrian government and for the League of Nations in the European interwar period of the 1920s and 1930s. He recounts his negotiations with Italy, Hungary, and Russia, and personalities such as Benito Mussolini and Leon Trotsky.
