Description

This audio recording is of the first part of a concert given at The New School by cellist Ellen-Zoe Hassman and pianist Sandra Rivers. The recording quality is poor and sometimes interrupted throughout the performance. The first piece is Ludwig van Beethoven's 3 Fantasiestücke, Op. 73: Zart und mit Ausdruck (1:20), Lebhaft, leicht (3:45), Rasch und mit Feuer (7:03), followed by the Johannes Brahms Cello Sonata No. 1, Op. 38 in E minor: Allegro non Troppo (13:28), Allegretto quasi Menuetto and Trio (23:33), Allegro (29:18).
