Description
These audio recordings are of the final session of a course of lectures, Tribute to a Champ, given at The New School on the subject of boxer Muhammad Ali. In this session, Ali himself is interviewed by New School faculty member Gabriel Grayson. Due to microphone recording issues, much of the interview is inaudible. Grayson and Ali discuss the Iran hostage crisis and Ali's views on American morality. At 29:47, Grayson opens the floor to questions, the topics of which include: America's role in the Iranian revolution and Ali's views on the Ayatollah Khomeini. The second recording continues the question and answer session, the topics of which include boxer Joe Frazier and Ali's religious and moral beliefs.
