Description

This event was sponsored by the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy and featured a keynote by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and three panels of elected officials, academics, and policy experts on the topic of mayoral leadership. Milano Dean Fred P. Hochberg introduced each panel. The first recording includes an introduction by Hochberg and Bloomberg's keynote. The second recording is a panel conversation with mayors Kay Barnes, Tom Murphy, and Gavin Newsom moderated by George Stephanopolous. The third recording covers the panel moderated by Andrew Kirtzman featuring Bryna Sanger, Douglas Rae, Dorothy Samuels, and Darren Walker. The fourth and final recording is of a conversation with Doug Wilder and Ed Rendell moderated by New School President Bob Kerrey. Each panel ends with questions from the audience. This file has low video and audio quality because the original file was formatted for web streaming.
