The first major retrospective exhibition of Carlo Scarpa's art, architecture, and design, organized by Zambonini and the Open Atelier of Design, opened in 1983 at the OAD studio on West 29th Street. The exhibition traveled to several other locations in 1985, including the New York City Italian Cultural Institute, Miami University of Ohio, and the University of Quebec at Montreal.
