Description
Presumably related to Le Maire's work as wardrobe designer on the film "The Egyptian" (1954), directed by Michael Curtiz. The design resembles a costume worn by a Babylonian courtesan in the film, although the inscription on the back labels it as an "Ancient Roman gown". Ensemble includes an embellished collar, headpiece, floor-length white cape, and a green-yellow pleated dress with what appears to be rope trim on the bodice, waist, and hips.
