Description
Presumably designed as a costume for one of the many films that Le Maire worked on during the 1950s. The ensemble includes a short-sleeved white dress with a belted waist, knee-length skirt, shirred yoke, and a checked placket extending down the center front of the dress and forming a notched collar. (Inscription on the back of the paper indicates that the trim is white and black, although the illustration appears to use blue ink.) The dress is paired with a matching cartwheel hat.
