Description

.4 oz. perfume spray bottle of 'Norell', a popular fragrance by designer Norman Norell that debuted in 1968 and continues to be sold today. The bottle is accompanied by cardboard packaging and a small paper insert that describes the scent as "timeless" and "classic". An editorial from the October 1968 issue of Harper’s Bazaar states: “the fragrance is as distinguished as the clear, classic statement of his clothes." Norell sold royalties and rights to his fragrance to Revlon in 1971. The date of the object is uncertain, although this particular bottle design was first featured in Vogue in the March 1, 1975 issue as part of a Bonwit Teller advertisement.
