Knee-length sleeveless dress covered with long vertical strips of silver sequins. The dress is worn with opaque tights, plain pumps, crystal or diamond drop earrings, and a stack of crystal or diamond bracelets. As indicated in an accompanying note, this photograph was taken in Japan in September 1965, when the designer took a month to show his collection there. Another version of this photo was featured in the November 1, 1965 issue of Vogue, where it is indicated that the photograph series was taken at the Museum of the Okura Hotel. The dress was part of Norell's fall/winter 1965-1966 collection, which was greatly inspired by the flapper trends of the late 1920s. This photograph was originally part of a larger scrapbook that can now be found in Box OSx-3, Folder 10.
