Model on an elevated catwalk wearing a drop-waist sleeveless dress with a bateau neckline, knee-length pleated skirt, and low belt with a square belt buckle made from diamonds or crystal. The dress is worn with a long pearl necklace, pumps, long gloves, and a matching turban hair wrap with a tall feather at the front center. The model also appears to be holding a long white blazer, as the audience looks on from below. As indicated in an accompanying note, this photograph was taken in Japan in September 1965, when the designer presented his collection there at the Hotel Okura in Tokyo. The show featured looks from Norell's fall/winter 1965-1966 collection, which was greatly inspired by the flapper trends of the late 1920s. This photograph was originally part of a larger scrapbook that can now be found in Box OSx-3, Folder 10.
