The Women Writers of the Diaspora series, organized by The New School for Public Engagement, celebrates literature written by women from the African diaspora. This lecture features Jacqueline Johnson and is moderated by Celesti Colds Fechter, associate dean of academic services for the Schools of Public Engagement. The recording begins with an introduction by Fechter, then Johnson reads a number of her poems. At the end of the lecture, Johnson answers questions from Fechter and from the audience.
