Description
The annual William Phillips lecture at The New School for Social Research pays homage to the longtime editor of The Partisan Review. The 2013 lecture, titled "Media and the Politics of Showing," was by media scholar Daniel Dayan. Dayan was introduced by New School alumna Edith Kurzweil, William Phillips' widow, who was in turn introduced by New School for Social Research Dean Michael Schober. The introductions, lecture, and audience questions are included in the audio recording.
